Does anyone need Saturday and Sunday p4k tickets?

Let me know because I don’t need them anymore.

I just interviewed with WXRT for a summer internship and I think I did really well.

Omg.

An Open Letter to Jesse White, Secretary of State.

Good Morning Mr. Secretary,

My name is Allison ******* and I am a twenty year old resident of Chicago, Illinois. I attend Loras College in Dubuque, Iowa and am currently studying public relations for my major and a media studies for my minor.  In October of 2010, I was cited for having a good time, or as the state of Iowa calls it, Possesion of Alcohol Under Legal Age.  Since that citation, I have now had to pay the state of Iowa $350.00, I have procured an Iowa Drivers License, I have had my license in both Illinois and Iowa suspended for a year, and I will soon have to pay $70.00 and take a driving exam to reinstate my drivers license.  I want you to know how ridiculous I think your “Zero Tolerance” law is.  One and done?  Seriously? How about instead of suspending my license you send me to Camp Green Lake or something?  Hell, this is Illinois, why don’t I just send you an undisclosed amount of money and we’ll pretend this never happened.  You’re crooked anyways.  Clearly when you were in college you had no friends an no social life.  This is obviously why you continue to suspend licenses daily for a possession charge.  Alright, let me give you the benefit of the doubt here.  Maybe you don’t know the details of my case.  Let me explain:

On the night of October 31, 2010 I woke up with the intent to kill.  I got dressed up as Adolf Hitler, drank 17 alcoholic beverages, and drove to a house in Dubuque Iowa.  At approximately 11:00, I pulled out a semi automatic weapon and shot everyone in attendance point blank in the temple. From there, I returned to my car, drove down to Mercy Hospital, walked down to the pediatric ward and told every child there that Santa Claus wasn’t real.  This was of course, mere seconds before I killed their parents and did a keg stand.  I once again returned to my car, drove under the influence to a gas station, filled barrels with gasoline, drove to the Mississippi River, and dumped the aforementioned barrels into its clean and pristine water, all while doing heroine.  When the police came, I assaulted them both physically and sexually.

OH WAIT, that’s not at all what happened.  But that’s kind of how you’re treating me isn’t it?

Have a lovely day Jesse.  I look forward to seeing your tumblers soon.

Sincerely,

Allison *******

It breaks your heart. It is designed to break your heart. The game begins in the spring, when everything else begins again, and it blossoms in the summer, filling the afternoons and evenings, and then as soon as the chill rains come, it stops and leaves you to face the fall alone. You count on it, rely on it to buffer the passage of time, to keep the memory of sunshine and high skies alive, and then just when the days are all twilight, when you need it most, it stops. Today, October [3], a Sunday of rain and broken branches and leaf-clogged drains and slick streets, it stopped, and summer was gone.
